At the Four Winds Wedding and Event Barn rustic country charm meets elegance, with many historical features and modern finishes and fine tuned details that will have you gasp! The venue operates through all 4 Seasons of year with includes a beautiful stone ceremony space or the option of an outdoor ceremony in the warmer months.
The beautiful family-style solid wood tables and chairs which were handcrafted by local Mennonite families is where we set up for our photo shoot. As the barn is rustic with many sources and colours of wood structure and composure we decided to set up near some beautiful windows where the afternoon light was trickling in.
Our vision for the table setting was simple, bright and elegant, moody and rustic. We partnered with NJS Design out of Clinton to create our beautiful wedding table top decor.
We designed a beautiful rustic long wood box arrangement using Benjamin Moore colour palette to dye the flowers. Preserved protea's in the centre make this arrangement 'pop', where the stained wood box ties in the natural elements of the table setting.
The bridal bouquet we designed is of the same colour palette and sure pop's and makes a grand statement. Paired with dried elements and artificial dark greenery this is the moodiest bouquet we have designed to date!
The ceremony area of the barn is quite simply stunning with the adjacent stone walls and wooden beams. Natural light filters in from the barn door windows and creates the most romantic atmosphere. We decided to decorate the wooden barrels with a wispy and foliage packed topper. We designed this topper with real Italian ruscus to achieve a more unruly and natural look to the arrangement of course packed full with our famous and beautiful Sola Wood Flowers.
There are so many different areas of the barn to decorate with florals it was difficult to choose just a few spots for the photo shoot! Hopefully we can make it back to the barn again one day to shoot in a different colour palette and design some of the other amazing rustic elements of the barn.

All photos for our photo shoot were taken by me - Sarah of South Hill Succulents with my 60D Canon and my iPhone. Some photos were also taken by colleagues on their iPhones as well. We had to come up with a quick plan when our photographer had come down ill with Covid. I think they turned out okay!
Stay tuned for another professional photo shoot! If you would like to collaborate with us get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org! We would be more than happy to work with you.
